Rebellion

Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?

II Kings 18:20 b

This verse was part of my Bible reading last week.

It JUMPED right out at me.

I say that I trust in God,

but do my actions show it.

When I rebel against God and His Word,

I am showing that my trust is founded elsewhere.

Usually when I forsake God, I am trusting in self or other men.

... when I don't take care of my health,

... when I don't submit to my husband,

... when my tongue is unkind,

... when I am not daily in the Word and prayer,

... when I allow anxiety to take the place of resting in Christ,

... when I am wasteful with God's provisions.

How about you?
