We woke this morning to extreme wind.
As I lay in the darkness,
I semi-hoped that I was hearing sleet or freezing rain with the wind.
If the roads were ice, hubby and I would just spend the day at home.
A long workout together,
a leisurely breakfast,
coffee or tea with our Bible reading,
leftover split soup for lunch - with some fresh made biscuits,
...
It was not icy on the roads, though,
and we both had to meet our obligations.
It is cold though - just at freezing.
How do you like to spend a snow day?
We don't get snow days. Just another day of winter. But, if I'm going to take a day off in the cold and snow, I'd better do some baking, and some snow shoveling. :)
ReplyDeletethe baking sounds fun ... but why do you have to shovel? Isn't that what the kids are for?
DeleteBecause I like to shovel. It is 'free' exercise with the benefit of accomplishing something.
DeleteWe don't get snow days either. But if we take a day off to enjoy the snow it should include playing in the snow and time together as a family. Sounds like yours was a good one.
ReplyDeletePastors and Homeschoolers - no snow days, but freedom to take days when needed. Unfortunately, we did not get ours, but it sure was fun to dream at about 4 am! We are having a home day today (Saturday) as hubby battles the flu.
