As I read in Acts on Thanksgiving day,
these verses just jumped out at me.
It is easy to forget the brethren -
to focus on "growing the church" -
to take for granted those around us.
It is easy to see people who "have it all together"
It is easy to see people who "have it all together"
and think that they have need of nothing.
Acts 13:43
Now when the congregation was broken up,
many of the Jews and religious proselytes
followed Paul and Barnabas:
who, speaking to them,
persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

Believers need encouragement to stay faithful, to rely on God.
Acts 15:36
And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas,
Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city
where we have preached the word of the Lord,
and see how they do.

The missionaries did not forget the converts -
they returned to check on them.
Who will you encourage today?
