Proverbs 20:6
Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness:
but a faithful man who can find?
Does this pairing catch your attention as it did mine?
I want to be a faithful woman.
If I keep the couplet together;
then,
a faithful woman does not proclaim her own goodness ...
and, might I add, does not lead the conversation to bait a complement.
Oh so difficult for prideful humanity!
I love praise.
God's idea of faithfulness
is the unsung hero.
So wife or mother,
keep going ...
keep serving ...
and if it is unnoticed ...
...THAT'S OK!
