Memorable Date - Is it not?

Only comes around once every 100 years!

It is Veteran's Day.

A bittersweet day.

Wednesday, our little town buried a young soldier killed in Afghanistan.

A painful reminder of the sorrows of a nation at war.

Thinking of all those who are in harms way today...

...And all those waiting at home.

I will be celebrating with my favorite veteran.

We celebrated 3 years separated from the Navy on October 31.

O.G. is giving hubby a free lunch today - and he offered to pay for mine :)

Here is the extra sweet part ...

... a niece arrived this morning to make the day more memorable.
